About LightWorks
LightWorks is a creative learning hub, run by artist, tutor and senior DT technician Remee Crawford.
Set in Moseley in a green space, our studio is an attractive wooden cabin with a peaceful ambience. We also run creative workshops in schools and arts venues across the Midlands area.

LightWorks provide expert tutoring in a variety of technical and creative subjects, which include: Art, Design Technology, Coding, Robotics, Arts & Crafts, Metal Smithing and Electronics.

Current Workshops
Our workshops are ideal for Home Educators or anyone wanting to learn a new craft. They run on weekends from 12:00 and are an great way to meet new people in a creative and friendly environment. We provide additional support for SEN learners and one to one sessions are available via prior booking. Please use the the form below to arrange bookings or if you have any questions.
Junior Metal Smithing
A comprehensive and practical workshop in metal smithing for young learners. Students craft a series of pendents and keyrings which are ideal either as keepsakes or a handmade gifts, using the pewter casting process. Workshops are hands-on and cover metal smithing using two types of mould making processes. The sessions last an hour and a half, in which time participants will learn how to: make moulds, melt down and pour liquid metal, drill, file and finish their work using a range of workshop tools and machinery. They are suitable for children and young adults.
